SHOWstudio + Nick Knight + Rei Nadal = Rei Nadal, I Don't Exist Day 1

Nick Knight, who is I must admit a fashion demi-god creatively speaking, has this website that is utterly fantastic. It is called SHOWstudio. It is something worth following and following and following. There are very few people that get their hands dirty in the nitty gritty of fashion as an art form and I think that Nick Knight is ONE amongst a very few in our contemporary world that still dive head first into the creative side of the fashion world.

Knight invited this girl, Rei Nadal from Spain to guest curate the SHOWstudio tumblr for a week. Here are the fruits of her labor after being delivered one box a day of outfits.

'One of the reasons I’m so excited about this project,' says Knight with that in in mind, 'is because it reinforces so many things that I think fashion should be about. It reinforces the preciousness and beauty of these clothes. We get so cut off and systematic about fashion and maybe miss the fact that it's capable of making somebody fall in love. I wanted the power put back into fashion in that way. People are so bad about appreciating it, they’re so ready to jump to criticism, but it’s such an important thing in our lives. There’s never been a society that hasn’t expressed itself in some way through fashion. We go right back to whatever society we care to mention and the way we present ourselves, the physical, visual relationship we form with other people through clothes is incredibly important. Especially in Western society fashion is an elevated art form in that way.' - Nick Knight
